Summary/Objective

An opportunity is now open for an Engineer at Controlled Environment Consulting (CEC). CEC is a nationally recognized industry leader in cleanroom design, evaluation, and consulting.  CEC established long term relationships to create and maintain safe and compliant regulated facilities. We are forming a diversified group of professionals for the design, construction, and commissioning/validation of critical facilities. A background in MEP engineering is desired but not necessary. Alternatively, a strong background in HVAC systems technology will also be considered.

Main Responsibilities

The specific responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

  • Perform design/construction management tasks
  • Perform and Complete professional reports regarding Compliance Consulting, Construction Management, and Mechanical Systems Design/Construction/Commissioning (Validation) as assigned
  • Perform calculations, on-site surveys, and research as necessary for completion of reports or tasks
  • Design Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Systems
  • Generate CAD drawings detailing designs
  • Generate construction documents
  • Assist in conduction of project management services
  • Installation of Specialty Systems

Basic Qualifications/ Core competencies

  • HVAC installation, repair, troubleshooting experience
  • Experience in MEP systems for Cleanrooms/ laboratory systems helpful but not a requirement
  • Fluency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must be mechanically inclined and able to understand mechanical systems
  • Good communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license and clean DMV driving record
  • Ability to pass a drug and background check

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Travel (occasional overnight stays required)
  • Intermittent field work, including but not limited to:
    • Lifting, up to 50 lbs.
    • Access internal components of equipment for diagnostics and validation (low to high voltage)
    • Visit construction sites for assessment of all activities including visual inspections of the roof and installed equipment
    • Visit customer cleanrooms and laboratories in hospitals, pharmaceutical, and other industrial settings

Summary/Objective

Industry leader in sterile facility design, evaluation, and compliance assurance is seeking an individual with experience with HVAC systems to join our cleanroom performance evaluation team. This position will expand a team of professionals experienced in sterile facility certification by adding HVAC system trouble shooting and repair or other mechanical system experience to the team. The successful candidate will enroll in a world class cleanroom/ biosafety equipment certification training program conducted by recognized industry leaders.

Main Responsibilities

The specific responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

  • Perform testing and certification of controlled environments including cleanrooms, biological safety cabinets, laminar flow benches, and other controlled environments
  • Perform microbiological sampling of controlled environments
  • Write certification reports
  • Work with customer to interpret reports and make recommendations for remediation when necessary
  • Troubleshoot and repair or make recommendations for repair of controlled environments including HVAC systems, biological safety cabinets, and other laminar flow systems
